I am pretty sure that the parts are compatible but i am concerned.

I plan on getting an optiplex 3010 mt sometime in the near future. All replies are greatly appreciated. This forum is mainly user to user with occasional moderation or additional knowledge by a rockstar or dell employee. I want to upgrade it but i don t know which size of psu would fit in there.

The power supply must use an adapter because the standard 24 pin eps12v power connector does not attach to the 3020 motherboard. I want to buy the optiplex along with a pny nvidia geforce gtx 1050 ti 4gb single fan graphics card and a new cx550 psu. I am on a very tight budget 400 or less. More buying choices 24 99 12 used new offers.

I m a big fan of dell a dell user and not an employee. So if you hack the hard drive cage out of the case and use a moddiy power supply adapter it still may not work. If you want to get a 450w psu for rx570 i suggest either evga or dell. Dell oem psu will be cheaper and there is a good supply of used xps 8000 series 460w out there.
