When installing heated tile floors with ditra heat mat or ditra heat tb there s two instructions that i would encourage you to avoid.
Ditra not sticking to floor.
The two main techniques for this are fairly simple.
I don t see a scenario where ditra can be blamed for a tile failure.
Since ditra is impervious it does not deprive the mortar of its moisture.
Kerdi band must overlap ditra and ditra xl at seams and at floor wall transitions by a minimum of 2 50 mm in order to maintain waterproof integrity.

Thinset and sticking with ditra don t equate the only way ditra kerdi stata mat hydro ban sheet and any other fleece covered membrane designed to be applied with thinset relies on the thinset fully encasing and coating the fibers not sticking to them.

Another reason would of course be too much deflection in the subfloor or bad prep.
If it doesn t stick to the floor it s the fault of the installer for using the wrong thinset or not applying it correctly.

In general we don t recommend the use of modified thin set mortar to set tile over the membranes because these mortars must air dry to cure properly.
In some applications the vertical section of the floor wall transition will not accept a bond to schluter set schluter all set schluter fast set or unmodified thin set mortar.
This allows the cement to properly hydrate resulting in a strong dense bond coat.
Make sure the cavities waffles are filled correctly install it over an approved substrate and with the correct type of thinset mortar.
Ditra can not cause a problem it can only prevent them.
